For #diversityunitedart, British sculptor Antony Gormley (who just celebrated his 70th birthday – congratulations!) has created cast iron bodies from massive blocks, stacked like towers. He counteracts the weight of the material by having his figures float in the exhibition: without a firm footing, they will hang five millimetres above the ground – a slight irritation that completely alters the spatial effect. Gormley reveals to us the inseparable relationship of the body to the built environment: our ‘second body’. // Der britische Bildhauer Antony Gormley (der soeben seinen 70.
